You can see the Christian and the Muslim embracing each other while their garments join to form an Egyptian flag.

In light of the recent clash that happened in Cairo that took away lives of two dozen Coptic Christian civilians, we must not forget that there are many signs of unity as much as there is evidence of conflict.

In the streets of Cairo, we heard stories of Christians and Muslims protecting each other’s freedom to congregate and pray in public spaces.
Even in a country where the overwhelming majority is Muslim, people have been chanting calls for a united country, not a divided one.

The situation extends to people suffering from separation across all walls, since in the end, we are all from the same race.

The human race.

We are all we have.

We are all.

Three thousand protestors marched across the Brooklyn Bridge, while a group of several hundred were diverted (or misled) to block the car lanes, thus ending up in a stand-off with the police.

Although many are quick to discount the grass-roots movement, unions are joining forces for an opportunity to get their legitimate voices heard, as evidenced by 700 american pilots who protested last week. Aligning itself with recent uprises around the world, the Occupy Wall Street movement is not a superficial battle against police or authority, people are expressing deep concerns about the on-going corporate squandering of their collective future.
